Please create a specific section in the checkout widget for the element that allows customisation of order notes.
I would suggest that you could choose between a checkbox or an expanded field. If it's a checkbox, I wouldn't change much, only title customization, but if we choose an expanded field, it should have the same style as the rest of the form fields.
Another issue is positioning. It currently appears after the terms and conditions acceptance box, which should be the last thing to appear.
I know it's possible to place the field in the middle of the shipping or invoicing forms with the field ID, but that makes the note, in emails and on the thank you page, appear associated with those fields and not as a separate field, representative of the whole order and not just the shipping or billing field.
Please consider this, because the order notes field can be very important for various types of business, and the way it's presented at the moment doesn't have the prominence it deserves.
